UK Backs Call for Israel to Allow Foreign Media in Gaza
Aug 21 (Reuters) - The United Kingdom backed a call for Israel to allow foreign media crews into Gaza on Thursday
The UK Foreign Office said Israel's decision to bar entry to Gaza had "limited the opportunity for journalists to report on events from there."
The move came after the Israeli government drew criticism for refusing to renew the credentials of several Palestinian and foreign journalists.
The Foreign Office cited the importance of "unfettered media access" and said it was in discussions with Israel over the issue.
